Sri Manisha Sarees has been a family saree house since 1997, rooted in Abids, Hyderabad, and rooted just as deeply in the handloom traditions of India. What began as a single shop has grown into a manufacturer-direct handloom business with its own skilled weavers and dedicated handloom units. Our mission, vision and heritage are not marketing lines for us — they are the reason the looms keep running.
Our Mission
To preserve and promote authentic Indian handloom sarees by crafting premium, heritage-rich collections that reflect timeless elegance, superior quality, and exceptional craftsmanship — delivered directly from our weavers to our customers.
Every part of that sentence is a working commitment. Preserving handloom means choosing the slower path: yarn that is prepared by hand, warps that are dressed on the loom over days, and motifs that are tied and dyed before a single pick of weft is thrown. Promoting it means putting those sarees in front of women who might otherwise never see the difference between a genuine handloom weave and a power-loom copy printed to look like one.
“Heritage-rich” is a description of technique, not decoration. A Pochampally ikat gets its blurred, feathered edges because the yarn itself is resist-dyed to a pattern before weaving. A Kalamkari earns its name from the pen — kalam — used to draw its outlines by hand. These are not effects that can be shortcut, and we do not try to shortcut them.
The last clause matters most: directly from our weavers to our customers. Removing the layers between the loom and the wardrobe is what lets us hold quality and price together instead of trading one for the other.

Trust is the operative word. A saree is often bought for a wedding, a first job, a daughter’s trousseau — occasions where a customer cannot afford to be wrong about what she is buying. Being a destination people trust means being honest about fibre, about weave, and about what a saree is and is not.
Ethical handloom manufacturing means the craft has to remain worth practising for the people who practise it. Handloom weaving in India is sustained by weaving families, and the surest way to lose a weave is for the next generation to find no living in it. Steady work through our own units is our answer to that.
Manufacturer-direct value closes the loop. When the people who make the saree are also the people who sell it, the customer is not paying for a chain of intermediaries, and the weaver is not the one absorbing the discount.
Our Heritage
Established in 1997, Sri Manisha Sarees is rooted in generations of weaving expertise. With our own skilled weavers and dedicated handloom units, we create authentic Kanchipuram, Pochampally, Kalamkari and Nizami sarees — each piece embodying tradition, trust and timeless style.
Those four names are four different inheritances. Kanchipuram brings the weight and the contrast borders of Tamil Nadu’s silk tradition. Pochampally brings Telangana’s double-ikat geometry, tied and dyed thread by thread. Kalamkari brings the hand-drawn narrative art of Andhra Pradesh. Nizami brings the zari-rich vocabulary of Hyderabad’s own courtly past — a tradition we live inside, a few streets from where the city’s saree trade has always been.
Nearly three decades on, the work is unchanged: keep the looms working, keep the weaves honest, and keep the saree in the hands of the women who love it.
