Mustard sico silk — handwoven in Pochampally from silk and cotton together. You get the low sheen and the drape of silk with enough cotton in the weave to make it wearable in a Hyderabad October. Mustard in particular benefits from the silk content; the sheen keeps the yellow from going flat.

How does sico compare to pure silk?
Lighter, cooler and considerably easier to maintain. Pure silk has more sheen and more weight; sico has more wearability. Neither is better — they are for different occasions.
How do I care for it?
Dry clean recommended. Dry in shade if washed, as yellows fade fastest in sun.
