Most people think ikat is a print. It is not — and once you understand the difference you will never pay print prices for it again.
In this grey and white set, every thread was tied, dyed and dried before a single pick went onto the loom. The weaver then aligns those pre-dyed threads so the pattern emerges as the cloth is built. Get it slightly wrong and the motif blurs; that soft feathered edge you can see is the signature of the technique, not a flaw.

Unstitched. Top, dupatta and bottom arrive as separate fabric pieces so your tailor can cut them to your exact measurements.
How do I know it is genuine handloom?
Turn the fabric over — handloom ikat shows the same motif on both faces, with tiny irregularities in the alignment. We stock mostly genuine handloom, and wherever a piece is power-loom we say so on the listing.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash separately in cold water for the first few washes, since handloom cotton releases a little colour early on. Dry in shade.
Will the colour look exactly like the photo?

Is only one piece available?
We buy in small lots, so most designs are one of a kind. Once a piece sells it rarely returns in the same colour.
