The Bali print in Kalamkari Vareli — flowing motifs across a pure cotton base, finished with a gold border that lifts the whole length from everyday to occasion.
This is a printed cotton, not a woven one, and that is exactly why it works for daily wear: it is light, it breathes through a Hyderabad afternoon, and it washes without ceremony. The gold border runs along the edge, so a kurta cut from it needs no extra trimming to look finished.
Wears beautifully as: an everyday kurta, an office co-ord, or a simple nightwear set. The border is best used along the hem or the sleeve edge.
How much to order: 2.5 metres for a plain kurta, 3 metres with full sleeves, 5.5 metres for a kurta and matching bottom.
Care: first wash cold and separate, dry in shade, no bleach, medium iron.
