Why are the ikkat motif edges soft?
Because the yarn is dyed before weaving and can never align perfectly on the loom. That blurred edge is how you tell a woven ikkat from a printed imitation.
How do I wash it?
Gentle cold hand wash, separately for the first few washes. Dry in shade.
