A red Jamdani handloom silk saree with a woven gold zari border running the length of the drape and a full gold pallu, supplied with a blouse piece.
Jamdani is the slowest way there is to put a motif on cloth. Nothing is printed or embroidered afterwards — the weaver adds a supplementary thread by hand at the loom, pick by pick, as the fabric grows. A pallu like this one takes days on its own. Hold it to the light and you will see the motifs sit inside the weave rather than on top of it.

Care
Dry clean only. The supplementary Jamdani threads can be snagged by a ring or a clasp, so put your jewellery on after draping. Store flat or loosely rolled rather than tightly folded, and iron on low from the reverse side.
