Gulabi and maroon — the softest and the deepest shades of the same rose. This saree holds both. The body is a gentle baby pink, light as a petal, and it is framed by a deep maroon border that gives the drape its definition and its grace.
Tiny butis in copper and silver are woven across the pink, and the maroon border carries the same copper-and-silver buti weaving — two metals that warm the maroon and lift the pink, so the saree glows rather than shouts. The pallu is woven in copper, rich and soft-toned. On the handlooms of Uppada the silk stays wonderfully light, so you can wear it through a long evening of rituals, photographs and dinner without tiring.
It comes with a designer blouse piece, so the look is finished without extra effort. Ideal for a nischitartham, a sangeet, a Deepavali evening or as a wedding guest — pair it with pearls or polki for a refined, modern-traditional look. Handwoven, one piece only.
