Authentic Pochampally ikkat, handwoven in Telangana from pure cotton. The yarn is resist-dyed in sections before it goes on the loom, so the motif emerges from the weave rather than being stamped onto it. Sold by the metre, cut to the length you need.
How much to order: 2.5 metres for a plain kurta, 3 metres with full sleeves, 5.5 metres for kurta plus bottom.
Care: first wash cold and separate, shade dry, no bleach, medium iron.
