Deep green is the colour most people skip online and reach for in the shop. Beside red, cream and gold it never competes, and under tubelight it holds its depth instead of flattening out the way a bright shade does.
The body carries Pedana Kalamkari hand-block work — the Andhra craft from Pedana, near Machilipatnam, where blocks are cut by hand and the dyes are built up over repeated passes rather than stamped in one. The pallu breaks to a contrast maroon designer panel, so the drape has a clear shoulder line instead of reading as one flat length of green. A gold border runs end to end and holds the two halves together.
Soft silk: it falls into pleats straight out of the fold and stays light through a long function. 6.3 m in total, blouse piece included.
