Pedana Kalamkari Hand-Block Soft Silk Saree in Royal Blue with Navy Designer Pallu & Gold Border
Pickup available at Chapel Road Fateh Maidan Abids
Usually ready in 2-4 days
This one is tone-on-tone rather than contrast. Royal blue body, navy pallu — close enough that the saree reads as a single deep colour from across a room, and separates into two only when you are near it. For anyone who finds the usual contrast-pallu look too loud, this is the quieter version of the same idea.
The print is Pedana Kalamkari, hand-blocked in the Machilipatnam belt of coastal Andhra on hand-cut blocks. On a dark ground the gold border does most of the visible work, outlining the drape cleanly without a heavy zari weight.
Soft silk, so it is light on the shoulder and holds pleats on its own. 6.3 m in total, blouse piece included.
Where it works
Office and saree-day at work, conferences and formal daytime events, a sangeet or reception where you want depth rather than sparkle, college and school functions, convocations, evening receptions, and travel — dark grounds forgive a long day far better than pastels.
