Why this saree works
- The colour: a multicolour patola grid led by blue, with flecks of contrast woven through — then a violet pallu that deepens the whole drape at the shoulder.
- The weave: true ikkat. The pattern is resist-dyed into the silk yarn before it reaches the loom, so it is part of the cloth, not printed on top.
- The feel: Pochampally pattu with body and a quiet sheen — it holds pleats well and does not cling.
Blue and violet are cool festive colours, and that is their advantage. In a hall full of reds and maroons at a Deepavali get-together or a Karthika Pournami deepotsavam, this is the saree that stands apart while still feeling traditional. The patola geometry — those crisp diamonds and lattices from the Telangana handloom village of Bhoodan Pochampally — gives it a heritage look that suits elders' homes and temple visits as easily as a cousin's engagement.
Pair it with silver or oxidised jhumkas to let the violet lead, or antique gold for a more formal muhurtham look. It comes with a designer blouse piece. One piece only, woven by hand.

Quick answers before you order
- Is the blouse included? Yes — a generous, large blouse piece comes with the saree, unstitched, with ample fabric for any blouse design.
- Length? 6.3 to 6.5 m in all — a long saree plus a large blouse piece, so there is plenty of fabric for pleats and drape.
- How do I care for it? Dry clean only. Air it after wearing, refold along a new line every few months and store it wrapped in cotton, away from damp.
- Will the colour match the photo? Photographed in daylight. Handloom yarn is dyed by hand, so a slight shade difference is natural. Ask us for a live video call before you buy.
- How fast is delivery? Same-day dispatch. Same-day delivery anywhere in Hyderabad; 2–3 days anywhere in India by courier, with a minimal delivery charge.
- Cash on delivery? No — all orders are prepaid through secure payment.
