Usually ready in 2-4 days
A rani pink Leheriya saree with a running pallu and a woven blouse piece, 6.3 metres in total.
Leheriya takes its name from leher, a wave. The cloth is rolled diagonally into a rope, tied at intervals and then dyed, so the resist falls in stripes that run on the bias rather than straight across. Untie and open it and the waves appear. It is a Rajasthani technique, and unmistakable once you have seen it.
Rani pink is the colour Leheriya is most often made in for a reason: the diagonal banding needs a saturated dye to show, and rani holds its intensity from the first wear to the tenth.
