This is the original of the fusion series — the piece the rest of the collection was built around.
The idea behind it is simple and worth stating plainly: the top is woven, the dupatta and bottom are printed. The sky blue top is handwoven Pochampally ikkat cotton, where the yarn is tied and dyed before it ever reaches the loom. Against it sit a mustard Kalamkari-printed dupatta and a matching bottom, carrying the drawn figures and vines of the Andhra printing tradition.
Putting a weave and a print in one set is a deliberate choice. The ikkat gives you texture and that soft feathered motif edge; the Kalamkari gives you narrative detail the loom cannot produce. Neither is pretending to be the other.

The sky blue top is genuine handwoven Pochampally ikkat. The mustard dupatta and bottom are Kalamkari-style designer prints. Every set in this fusion range follows the same formula, and we say so on each listing rather than letting you assume it is woven throughout.
How do I wash it?
Hand wash separately in cold water for the first two or three washes, since handloom cotton releases a little colour early on. Dry in shade.
Will the colour look exactly like the photo?

Is only one piece available?
We buy in small lots, so most designs are one of a kind. Once a piece sells it rarely returns in the same colour.

Tell us within the exchange window and we will replace it. Slubs and small irregularities in handwoven cloth are marks of the craft, not defects.
