Warli Weaving Border Cotton Linen Saree in Brown with Lined Pallu

Usually ready in 2-4 days
Brown is the colour Warli actually belongs to. The original paintings are white rice paste on a wall rubbed with cow dung and red earth — so a warm brown ground with white figures is closer to the source than any other colourway we weave.
The border is woven, not attached. A loom-woven border lies flat against the body, has no stitched edge to fray, and keeps its shape through years of washing — the difference you feel immediately if you have owned an attached-border saree that started lifting at the corners. The pallu carries lines rather than figures, which keeps the eye on the border.
Cotton linen gives it a dry, slightly stiff fall that holds pleats on its own — no starch needed, no slipping off the shoulder through a working day.
Where it works
Daily office wear, academic and institutional settings, conferences, museum and craft circles, autumn and winter daywear, informal gatherings, and as a starting point for someone moving from synthetics into handloom.

Quick answers
- Is the border woven or stitched on? Woven in on the loom, so it sits flush and does not lift.
- Will it crease? Yes — linen creases by nature. It falls out with a light iron.
- Care? First wash dry clean; after that, gentle hand wash separately and dry in shade.
- Can I see it before I buy? Yes — we will video-call you with the saree in hand, or you can drape it at our Abids store.
- Delivery? Same-day dispatch and same-day delivery. All orders are prepaid; we do not offer COD.
