Warli Weaving Border Cotton Linen Saree in Royal Blue with Lined Pallu

Warli is the tribal line-art of the Sahyadri belt — stick figures, circles and triangles that have been drawn on mud walls for centuries. On a saree it works because it is spare. There is no shading, no filler, just figures in a row.
Here the Warli motifs are woven into the border, not an attached patch stitched on afterwards. That matters in the hand: a woven border sits flush with the body, will not lift at the edge, and survives washing the way an attached border does not. The pallu is lined — clean horizontal lines rather than a figured panel — so the Warli border stays the only thing asking for attention.
The ground is cotton linen. Linen gives the crispness and the dry fall; cotton keeps it wearable through a Hyderabad afternoon. It creases, as all linen does, and that is part of how the fabric looks rather than a fault.
Where it works
Office and workwear, saree-day at the office, teaching and lecture days, gallery openings and craft events, casual day weddings, travel, summer daywear, and for anyone building a handloom wardrobe rather than a festive one.

Quick answers
- Is the border woven or stitched on? Woven in on the loom, so it sits flush and does not lift.
- Will it crease? Yes — linen creases by nature. It falls out with a light iron.
- Care? First wash dry clean; after that, gentle hand wash separately and dry in shade.
- Can I see it before I buy? Yes — we will video-call you with the saree in hand, or you can drape it at our Abids store.
- Delivery? Same-day dispatch and same-day delivery. All orders are prepaid; we do not offer COD.
